Born
23.01.1952 in Sovetsk, Kaliningrad region.
In 1974 graduated from the Moscow Electrotechnical Institute of Communications,
in 1986 - Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of Repin Academy of
Arts in the USSR. Candidate of Art (1990).
Engaged in scientific, organizational, curatorial, publishing and teaching
activities in the field of graphic design.
Author of 12 books and over 500 articles. Researcher of VNIITE (1976-1981,
1987-1999).
Consulting Editor of the journal "Advertising" (1984-1990), Chief
Editor of "Greatis" (1992-1994) and the Union of Designers
(1997-1998).
Holder of more than 100 exhibitions in the country and abroad.
President of the Moscow International Poster Biennial "Golden Bee".
The representative of Russia in the International Council of Graphic Design
ICOGRADA and International Biennials Coordinating Committee IBCC.
Professional awards:
First Prize (1992, in the team), Special Diploma (1993, in the team), the
National Prize "Victoria" (1998) on the All-Russia
exhibition-competition "Design";
Honorary Diploma of the International Organization "Union of
Chernobyl" (1997);
Special prize of a professional club "Portfolio" (2000);
Honorary Diploma of the Council on public of UN Award "For outstanding
contribution to the development of design" (2004);
"Rodchenko Award" (2006);
Special Prize (2006, in the team) and Honorable Mention (2009, in the team) at
the International Triennale of Ecological poster "4-th block" in Kharkiv.
Nominee of the State Prize of Russia in the field of literature and art in the

of literature and art (1996-2002).
